Welcome!

This site represents a group of girls who are trying to take care of one of our own.  Our friend Leah is a young mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer recently and has just undergone a radical mastectomy and will continue with chemotherapy treatment.  What makes matters more difficult is that she is a single mom who has also lost a child not long ago.  Somehow, she is going to have to keep her spirits up for the sake of her surviving child and manage to find a way to pay for all of her medical expenses and treatments.  She is a strong, young woman, but one has to wonder how much one person can take.

Her friends are trying to rally in support of her fight and are seeking ways to raise money for her surgery and treatment.  While researching our options, we realized that there are many organizations focused on raising money for cancer research, but very few options for people trying to raise money for treatment.

Our plan is in three phases:

1)We are organizing a walk called “Hike for Hope” on June 8, 2008 to give Leah some financial relief as soon as possible. - Amazing response! Thank you everyone!
2)We are organizing a benefit Concert with Dale Watson - Thank you everyone!
3)As a final hoorah! We're shooting for an early fall to celebrate and help Leah make it through the final stages of her treatment.
